He is notable for bring a large land holder of the Butler dynasty. He was the direct ancestor of the Earl of Carrick (Ireland) of the second creation. Laurel Lodged (talk) 13:04, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Unaware that owning bits of land made one notable, or that being an ancestor of someone notable imparted notability, and do not believe that being mentioned incidentally in a book in 1789 makes one worth an article. Suggest deletion. Belle Fast (talk) 08:19, 2 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
